DILUPE and the ORBCOMM system

ORBCOMM is a satellite system for two-way monitoring, tracking and messaging. The network operates with 35 Low Earth Orbit satellites in a variety of different orbits, 825 kilometers above the earth.  Orbcomm utilizes the VHF band for communication with subscriber communicators. The Gateway Earth Stations (GES) and Gateway Control Centre (GCC) act as the interface between the subscriber communicator, the satellites and the recipient by routing messages and data accordingly.

DILUPE's engineers have been supporting the development of ORBCOMM products and applications since 1998. The immediate need for a cost effective messaging terminal was identified and as a result the DMT-500 and ORBMsg software was conceived developed and put to work successfully in the Orbcomm market.

Orbcomm's ability to send up to 4k byte messages cost efficiently is one of the systems many plus benefits.   With the ongoing success of the DMT-500, our engineers went on to develop a touch screen Orbmail application with our DMT-1500 for Orbcomm and this application along with DILUPE's reputation for building true plug and play hardware and customizable software applications was an immediate success.    Today Dilupe's has sold multi thousands of its DMT-500 and DMT-1500 coupled with our Dilupe developed Orbcomm software.    As the structure and direction of Orbcomm develops and grows so too will DILUPE's continued development and support for Orbcomm continue.
